When there are extensive cavities covering multiple surfaces in primary molars, or when very little healthy tooth tissue remains after amputation or root canal treatment, traditional fillings (composite or glass ionomer) quickly break or fall out due to chewing stresses. Furthermore, in genetic diseases such as “Molar Inciser Hypomineralization” (MIH), where the enamel develops structurally deficient and brittle, the tooth rapidly disintegrates. In such cases, “Stainless Steel Crowns” (SSC), which completely surround the tooth like a cap and are manufactured in-house, are the only reliable option to prevent tooth fracture, new cavities, and premature extraction. These crowns are perfectly adapted to the tooth and remain seamlessly in the mouth with the underlying primary tooth until its natural shedding time comes.
