Traditional 2D photographs, because they only show the face in a static, two-dimensional plane, cannot fully reflect the depth perception of teeth, lip support, and mandibular rotations during dynamic chewing movements. 3D Face Scanner technology, however, transfers the patient’s facial features, expressions, and lip volume during speech into a three-dimensional digital model.
