Traditionally used titanium implants are metallic structures, and although biocompatible, they can corrode (wear) through the bone over time, releasing titanium particles into surrounding tissues. This can trigger macrophage activation and chronic inflammation in sensitive individuals. Zirconium implants, preferred in holistic dentistry, are ceramic-based, completely white, and bio-inert (do not chemically react with the body). They completely eliminate the risk of metal allergies. According to the traditional Chinese medicine meridian and chakra system, each group of teeth is located on a specific organ meridian line in the body. Metal implants can act like “antennas” on these meridian lines, attracting electromagnetic fields (EMF) and blocking energy flow. Zirconium implants, thanks to their insulating properties, do not disrupt this bio-electrical flow.
