In biological dentistry, after a tooth extraction, allowing the wound to heal on its own with an empty blood clot (especially if bone quality is poor) increases the risk of NICO or cavitation. To prevent this risk, “PRF” (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) technology is used. At the time of tooth extraction, a small tube of blood is taken from the patient and centrifuged at a special speed in the laboratory.
