In chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as fibromyalgia, ulcerative colitis, or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, the immune system attacks its own tissues and is overstimulated. Metal-based bridges, amalgam fillings, and metal-fastening dentures that remain in the mouth for years undergo continuous micro-corrosion, releasing heavy metals and foreign ions into the body.
